Concierge/Doorman Service –
The Whitehall offers 24 x 7 concierge service at the front desk in the lobby. Doormen are on duty at the front entrance from 8 am to 8pm daily. Whitehall Valet Service – Located in the basement, the Whitehall Valet Service provides full dry cleaning, tailoring and alteration services. The Valet is open Monday through Saturday. Whitehall Garage – The Whitehall Garage includes 5 levels of parking and can accommodate over 400 cars. Single spots and “piggyback” spots are available for a monthly fee. Monthly garage users receive electronic gate entry cards, although the garage main gate is normally attended by security guards. Laundry Rooms – The Whitehall has two large laundry rooms, one serving the north tower and one serving the south tower, in the basement. Each laundry room features energy efficient washers, dryers and sinks. Users can purchase debit cards to use the washers and dryers in the basement. Whitehall Management Office – Located in the basement, the Whitehall Management Office is open during normal business hours from Monday-Friday, with the building general manager and assistant manager on hand to answer questions and handle any problems that arise. On-Site Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent – Both the building super and assistant super are full-time residents of the building, meaning more immediate and personalized service for all residents. |
Large Staff –
The Whitehall staff numbers more than 25, including security guards, doormen and concierge desk personnel, handymen and porters. The majority of staff members are long-term employees, many on a first-name basis with residents. The staff receives training on an ongoing basis, and provides a high level of service for all building residents. Security Systems – The Whitehall is committed to providing a state-of-the-art level of security for all residents with systems and procedures in place to safeguard all residents and personal and building property, and provide peace of mind. A “Key-Trak” computerized system for storing and retrieving apartment keys is installed at the front desk, and video monitoring and surveillance cameras have been installed in the garage, main lobby and in all passenger elevators. Special Events – Under the auspices of The Whitehall’s Events Committee, exciting events open to all residents, guests and non-residents, have been scheduled in The Whitehall Club Ballroom. These include (free) hit movies, lectures, concerts and other performances at modest ticket prices, holiday parties and other events such as art shows and bagel brunches with guest speakers. The Whitehall Whirl Newsletter – Published seasonally, this 8-page full color newsletter is packed with features about Whitehall residents and staff members, and includes important information for residents about board elections and other news affecting residents.
