Special Events -- The Whitehall Events Committee
The Whitehall Events Committee is a group of more than 12 residents of the building, including shareholder-owners as well as renters, who plan and execute a wide-ranging series of events designed to entertain and inform.
Most of the events are open to the general public, but a few, such as our annual Bagel Brunches, and our annual Holiday Parties, are open to Whitehall residents only. Many events are free, but some performances by outside entertainers do require a modest fee for tickets. Most Whitehall events are run in the Whitehall Club Ballroom, and typically include light refreshments and desserts.

- Free Movie Nights on the Big Screen ("My Favorite Year," "Paper Clips," "1776" and "Groundhog Day" are a few examples)
- Free Bagel Brunches honoring distinguished Whitehall residents such as Col. Seymour Pomrenze or featuring guest speakers like Bronx Borough Historian Lloyd Ultan and Bronx-born author Avery Corman.
- Town Hall Meetings on the Pool Deck, featuring all of the elected representatives who serve the Riverdale area
- Free presentation on gardening for high-rise apartments and terraces by a specialist from the New York Botanical Garden
- Performances by musical groups such as Work o' The Weavers, a folk-song tribute group (the 2008 concert included a surprise guest appearance by Pete Seeger himself ! ), "Three for the Show, " a trio performing hits from classical Broadway musicals, "Metropolitan Klezmer," a nationally-known 5-piece Klezmer orchestra, etc.
- A wine & cheese tasting party
- An art show featuring paintings, sculptures and photographs by Whitehall residents and family members
